Our Noise Cancelling Panels are engineered for environments where standard acoustic panels are insufficient. These spaces generate noise levels that can exceed 85 dB(A) — the threshold at which hearing protection becomes mandatory under Qatar's workplace health and safety regulations.
The panel construction uses a dual-density composite core: a 50 mm layer of high-density mineral wool (96 kg/m³) backed by a 12.5 mm mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) barrier. The mineral wool provides broadband absorption (NRC 1.00), while the MLV layer adds sound transmission loss (STC 27 for a single layer). This combination both absorbs airborne sound within the treated space and blocks noise from transmitting to adjacent areas.
The face of each panel is protected by a powder-coated perforated steel or aluminium sheet (open area ratio 23%) that withstands impact, moisture, chemical splash, and washdown cleaning. This makes the panels suitable for the demanding conditions found in Qatar's industrial zones, food processing facilities, and mechanical spaces.
KTS Noise Cancelling Panels are manufactured at our Doha facility under ISO 9001:2015 quality management and ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety systems. Every batch undergoes absorption coefficient testing and visual inspection before release. Fire performance meets ASTM E84 Class A requirements, and the panels carry zero flame spread when tested with the perforated metal face.
Standard panel dimensions are 600×1200 mm and 1200×1200 mm, with custom sizes available up to 1200×3000 mm. Thickness options include 50 mm (absorption only), 62.5 mm (absorption + MLV barrier), and 100 mm (maximum performance). Mounting is via heavy-duty Z-brackets welded or bolted to structural steel, wall framing, or ceiling grids.
