Karmah Trading & Services (KTS), supplying Qatar's sports and fitness sector from Doha since 2004, provides high-performance Indoor Rubber Sports Flooring for gymnasiums, CrossFit boxes, weight rooms, fitness studios, martial arts dojos, and multipurpose indoor sports halls throughout Qatar. Our indoor rubber flooring systems are engineered for shock absorption, durability, and athlete safety under the demanding conditions of Qatar's active sports culture.
Indoor rubber sports flooring is the gold standard for weight training and high-impact exercise areas. When a 20 kg dumbbell is dropped from chest height — a common occurrence in any serious gym — the floor must absorb the impact energy to protect both the equipment and the structural slab beneath. KTS supplies indoor rubber tiles in thicknesses from 15 mm (studio-grade) to 50 mm (Olympic lifting platform grade), with force reduction values ranging from 35% to 65% depending on thickness and density. This exceeds the EN 14808 minimum of 25% for sports surfaces.
Our indoor rubber tiles are manufactured from recycled SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) granules bonded with polyurethane resin, with a top layer of coloured EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer) granules for UV stability and aesthetic variety. Standard colours include black, dark grey, blue, red, and green, with custom colour blends available for gyms wanting branded floor designs.
Tile formats include 500×500 mm interlocking tiles (most popular for gym floors), 1000×1000 mm large-format tiles, and continuous rolls for large open areas. Interlocking edges provide a seamless appearance and prevent tile migration under heavy foot traffic and equipment drag. The dry-lay installation method means no adhesive is needed — tiles can be installed, removed, and reconfigured without damaging the subfloor, which is ideal for leased commercial spaces in Doha.
For fitness studios hosting group classes (HIIT, yoga, dance, aerobics), KTS provides thinner (8–15 mm) performance rubber surfaces that combine comfort with stability. These studio floors have a smoother surface texture for barefoot activities and higher resilience for jump training. Acoustic backing options reduce impact sound transmission to floors below — essential in multi-storey gym buildings.
All indoor rubber flooring supplied by KTS meets EN 14904 sports surface performance criteria and EN 14041 Bfl-s1 fire classification. We provide a complete project service: site survey, subfloor assessment, flooring specification, installation, and maintenance advice. Our Doha warehouse stocks popular configurations for quick supply.
