Karmah Trading & Services (KTS), based in Doha since 2004, supplies Mobile Solar Tower Lights for construction sites, outdoor events, emergency response, military operations, and temporary lighting applications across Qatar. Our solar tower lights provide powerful, portable illumination without the noise, fuel costs, and emissions of diesel generator-powered light towers — delivering both economic and environmental advantages in Qatar's high-solar-irradiance climate.
Traditional diesel light towers consume 3 to 8 litres of diesel per hour, generating noise levels of 65 to 75 dB(A) and producing carbon emissions that conflict with Qatar's sustainability commitments under the National Vision 2030. KTS solar tower lights eliminate fuel consumption entirely, operating silently on solar energy stored in lithium batteries. For construction sites where night work is common, this means zero fuel logistics, zero noise complaints from neighbouring properties, and zero emissions reporting.
Our mobile solar tower lights are built on a towable trailer chassis with pneumatic tyres, stabiliser jacks, and a telescoping mast that extends to 7 metres. Four high-output LED floodlights (total output up to 40,000 lumens) are mounted on the mast head with individual tilt and rotation adjustment. The LED fixtures use Philips or Cree chips rated at 170+ lm/W, providing a lit area equivalent to a 1,000W metal halide diesel tower while consuming a fraction of the energy.
The solar array consists of four monocrystalline panels that deploy automatically on hydraulic arms, providing a combined output of up to 1,200Wp. During Qatar's sunny months (March to October), the panels fully recharge the battery bank during daylight hours, providing 12+ hours of illumination at night. During the shorter winter days, the intelligent controller adjusts LED brightness to extend autonomy, and an optional hybrid connection allows trickle charging from a small backup generator if needed.
Battery storage uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) technology rated for 60°C operating temperatures — essential for equipment stored on open construction sites in Qatar's summer. The 5 kWh battery bank provides 10 to 14 hours of runtime at full brightness and 24+ hours in dimmed mode.
Transport and setup are designed for one-person operation. The mast is raised and lowered via an electric winch, solar panels deploy at the push of a button, and the entire unit can be towed behind a standard pickup truck. Setup time from arrival to illumination is under 15 minutes.
KTS has supplied mobile solar tower lights to construction contractors, event management companies, Qatar's Civil Defence, and oil and gas field operations. Contact +974 44505001 or karmah@kts-qatar.com for specifications and rental or purchase options.
